CBSE Mathematics 2019: Revised Pattern is for Class 10th Only
The clarification for the new mathematics pattern has been released on the official website by the Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE. The official website is www.cbse.nic.in .
The primary and advanced pattern for mathematics has been introduced for CBSE class 10th and not for Class 9th. Students from class 10th will have this option of choosing from Basic and Advance.
Students must refer to the standard mathematics syllabus published by CBSE. The option is available only for the board exams and not for the students of class 9th. The board have also released a FAQs list for the basic mathematics introduction. The mode of instruction and syllabus will not change. Basic mathematics will be a more accessible version of advanced mathematics.
Students who do not want to pursue mathematics in higher classes may choose basic mathematics. The standard mathematics will have a higher level of difficulty than the normal one.
Students can change the option until July on the choices they have made for the mathematics paper selection. A student who has taken standard mathematics and failed in the exam can appear for primary in the compartmental. Those who are taking standard mathematics can make the subject in their class 11th and 12th.
