DUSU 2019 Election Results: ABVP Leading, NSUI in Second Position
As per the sources, the RSS-affiliated Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) is leading in all the four seats after the fourth round. The counting was decided to start at 8:30 am whereas it started one and half hour delay at 10 am.
After the technical glitch got sorted out, the counting process was started. Initially only one screen was working, but later on, all other EVM started working, and the counting process started.
As per the trends, The ABVP is leading in all the four seats, and this got confirmed after counting 45 EVMs. As per the sources, the Congress affiliated National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) is in the second spot.
The turnout numbers for this year is 39.90% whereas last year it was 4% ahead. The result will be declared today as the counting still gets continued. Total sixteen candidates are competing for four posts, including four women candidates. Total of 144 EVMs were used for Student’s union polls and 137 used for college union polls. A total of 1.3 lakh students cast their votes today.
