After most of the the older Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) declared their admission shortlists on January 11, 2012, the newer lot started between 2010 and 2011 began declaring their interview shortlists for 2012 admissions based on the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2011 results on January 12.

The six new IIMs at Ranchi, Raipur, Rohtak, Kashipur, Trichy and Udaipur shall organise a common admissions process, the shortlist for which was declared on a webpage on the IIM Ranchi website here.

Following a common test of written ability and a personal interview, each of the six new IIMs will benchmark the results against separate criteria of their own to make final admission offers.
