The MBA (Operations Management) Program

The MBA (Operations Management) program at SIOM is designed to meet the needs of diverse sectors of economy viz. manufacturing, service, IT and consulting. It provides students the skills and knowledge necessary to design, manage, analyze, and improve the operations systems in those business sectors. Students develop both, an in-depth strategic understanding of operations systems, their components, contributions, and interactions with other functional areas and the analytical and computer tools necessary to address both strategic and tactical issues.

The program includes instruction in principles of general management, manufacturing and production systems, plant management, equipment maintenance management, production control, industrial labor relations and skilled trades supervision, strategic manufacturing policy, systems analysis, productivity analysis and cost control, and materials planning.

  • Six-Sigma Green Belt Certification: SIOM students are trained in Six-Sigma and conferred Green Belts certifications by KPMG. Every students carries out a LIVE PROJECT on Six Sigma in the industry.
  • SAP-ERP: Students get more than 100 hours of training in the 4 functional modules of SAP
  • Capstone Business Simulation to understand & apply management concepts better

Eligibility

The SIOM MBA (Operations Mangament) is open to Engineering Graduates from a recognized university with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST candidates).

Admissions & Selection:

Step I: Register online for SNAP 2010 at www.snaptest.org before 26th November 2010.

Step II: Register online for SIOM and pay the Registration fees either online or by way of demand draft in favor of Director, Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management, payable at Nashik main branch.

Candidates will be short listed for GD as per the SNAP score. and after that for Personal Interviews at Nashik.
