CBSE releases computer-based JEE Main 2017 mock test
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a mock test for JEE 2017 aspirants. The computer-based mock test is available on the official JEE Main website.
The total duration of the test is 180 minutes. The website will display an automatic countdown timer on the screen, which will help the candidates ascertain the remaining time available to answer the questions. At the end of 180 minutes, answers will be automatically recorded on the website, so candidates need not click the submit button.
Candidates aren’t required to solve questions chronologically; and can return to the questions which they left unanswered. They will be allowed to change answers before finishing the exam. The website has provided an option to candidates to view all questions at one go.
There will be only one correct answer to each question. The process of scoring will be the same as in the JEE Main online examination scheduled on April 8 and 9, 2017. Every correct answer carries four marks, and an incorrect response costs one-fourth mark. If no answer is given, no marks will be deducted.
The mock test can be viewed in English as well as in Hindi. It is divided into three sections: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, having 30 questions each. Meanwhile, aspirants must note that the question paper displayed on the official JEE Main portal is for practice only, and it should not be mistaken as a sample paper.
