JoSAA website faces server issues, will be resolved soon

Students who were logging on to the website of JoSAA (Joint
Seat Allocation Authority
), on July 26, 2016 were greeted with the message, “Our
servers are facing a temporary technical problem. We regret the inconvenience
caused. Please try again after some time.”

The eligible candidates, those who have qualified in JEE (Main)
2016 and/or JEE (Adv) 2016 will be allowed to register and fill-in their
program choices on JoSAA 2016 portal for five days starting from 24-June-2016. “The
site has been down, and I have been receiving an error message everytime I log
on to fill-in my choices,” said Anjali G, from Mumbai. She wasn’t the only one. Another parent, Babita Mukherjee, also from Mumbai, said her son wasn’t able to access the site throughout the morning.

When PaGaLGuY spoke to JoSAA Organising Chairman from IIT
Guwahati, he said that the site could be facing a server issue because of the
traffic. “It is not a major issue. The server may be down because of sudden
traffic. It will be resolved in a while,” he added. The students still have 3
days more to lock in their choices.
