Admissions to undergraduate engineering courses available at various engineering colleges in Jharkhand is conducted by the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board.

This year, admission to engineering colleges in Jharkhand is based on JCECE (Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination) 2016. The exam will be conducted in both online and pen and paper based format. The exam will assess students’ knowledge in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The 3 hours examination will have objective type questions and will consist of 50 questions each on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each question will carry 1 mark each and there will be no negative marking for an incorrect answer.

The Ramachandra Chandravansi Institute of Technology is based in Palamu. The institute was established in 2003 and is affiliated to Ranchi University . The institute is approved by AICTE, New Delhi.
