[Alumni Speaks] – Fond Memories Of My Days At IMI Delhi
The quality and branding of any Institute plays an important role in creating the first impression with the peers and managers in most organizations in the corporate.
IMI, as I have seen in the 22 years of my
stint in the industry, has evolved slowly from a largely unrecognised entity to
a much more visible brand in the mind space of the recruiters. I believe that the seniors of IMI have worked hard,
competed harder and are reaching good positions in reputed organizations. The key is to influencing more and more
organizations to adopt IMI as a source of talent for their firms. The faculty
is also working hard and trying to reach out to the seniors to establish
contacts and push for inclusion alongside the big players for sourcing talent.
The certifications IMI has worked hard to get will also create a more positive
image in the Industry. The alumni of IMI along with quality
faculty will play an important role in improving our standing with better
placements in the coming years.
As I
look back in time and think about my days at IMI, it brings back fond memories
of the bygone days. We had our own share of fun at IMI. The campus life, the
classroom learnings, the amphitheatre, all of these make me want to go back in
time and relive those days again.
Along
with this, I personally believe that the faculty at IMI were among the best of
the best and helped us develop a strong foundation in the basics of management.
When I look back, I see several successful professionals from my batch in
senior positions and I am sure that the learnings (while at IMI) applied
over several years have helped them in their journey, as it did for
me. Today, the intellectual capability of the institute, both in terms its
faculty as well as students, has improved tremendously.
I wish IMI success in all its endeavour. As the
President of the Bangalore chapter, it is my focus (along with the other office
bearers) to create a stronger network and facilitate interactions and mutual
support for professional benefit. Also, I wish all the future managers from
IMI, a very good luck and hope that they do well and make IMI proud in the
years to come.
