Interview is
a very important part of selection process. The domain knowledge, technical
ability, personality & communication skills of the candidate are checked in
the personal interview. It has been observed that many deserving candidates
cannot clear the selection process as they are not able to perform well in the

following are the main points which a candidate should keep in mind while
preparing for the interview:

subject / domain knowledge should be thoroughly brushed up so that the
technical round is cleared.

Overall
general knowledge / current affairs topics should be studied well so that a
good impression is made upon the selection officer / interview panel.

Lot
of practice should be done to polish & update communication and soft skills
which play a major role in doing well in the interview.

Website
of the company / organization should be studied in detail so that sufficient
knowledge is gathered by the candidate about the operations and vision of the
organization.

A
formal dress should be worn by the candidate at the time of interview.
·
All
relevant certificates and testimonials in original & two photocopies each
should be carried by the candidate in a file / folder, at the time of
interview.

Mock
discussions should be held by the candidate along with his fellow colleagues
& mentors to revise core topics & current affairs.

To
understand the overall business scenario, the candidate should read leading
dailies like The Economic Times, The Times of India, The Hindustan Times, etc.
The
following are the main points which a candidate should keep in mind during the
interview:
- The answers to the questions asked should be
brief, to the point & professional. - Controversial topics like political views, etc.
should be avoided. - Salary offered for the position should be
politely discussed in the end. - The candidate should clearly discuss the joining
date with the panel, so that there is clarity regarding the same. - At the time of closure of interview, the

to appear for the selection process.
