Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination (AEEE) is a university level entrance examination conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University. The university conducts an examination to offer the admission in the various specializations of engineering professional degree courses. Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination is organized on all India basis after which candidates can get admission in Amritapuri (Kollam), Bengaluru and Ettimadai (Coimbatore) and Vengal (Chennai) Campuses. The examination is conducted in two modes which are
- Computer Based Test (CBT) with 5 days and 3 slots on each day
- Pen & Paper Test (PPT) conducted only in Tamil Nadu, one slot on one day.
It is a national level examination which is conducted every year for admitting aspirants into various under-graduate engineering programs offered by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University in its five campuses which are Coimbatore, Amritapuri, Bengaluru and Mysuru.

AEEE 2022 Exam Date
The admission authorities of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has listed out the vital dates for AEEE 2022. The important dates comprise of detailed schedule of the entrance exam and thereafter of the admission procedure. Amrita Engineering Entrance examination will be conducted as computer-based test (CBT) as well as pen and paper test (offline). AEEE 2022 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates would be required to meet the eligibility criteria, if they are willing to take the admission in any of the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University. The admission authority has set the eligibility criteria of AEEE 2022. Only the candidates who satisfied the complete eligibility criteria will be admitted to the first year of four years B. Tech degree programmes. The criteria which the candidates would need to meet are as follows:
- It is necessary that the date of birth of candidate is on or after 01st July 1998.
- Candidates must have accomplished their 10+2 or equivalent examination.
- Candidates need to have at least 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or not less than 55% marks in each of these three subjects.
- Candidates who are appearing in the twelfth-grade test can likewise apply yet would need to score the base marks. If the hopeful won’t score the base marks, the confirmation will naturally be dropped.
- Candidates with the valid JEE main 2022 scores will also be eligible to apply for the AEEE 2022 exam.
- International applicants must obtain “A” grade/level in the qualifying exam or its equivalent examination.
- The eligibility for the international applicants is also that the preference will to those who have chosen advanced placement courses.
- International candidates who have obtained an equivalence certificate from the association of Indian Universities will be eligible to apply for AEEE 2022 examination.
- Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) must secure minimum aggregate 45% of marks in class 12 grade.
- Candidates should note that the minimum eligibility for management quota is an aggregate of 80% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
- Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination is the national level examination so the applicants from all the states are eligible to apply for this exam.
- NRI, PIO and foreign candidates are relieved from appearing in the examination. However, NRI-sponsored candidates can appear in the entrance test.
- Interested NRI applicants would need to register their names and choice of branch and campus with Directorate of Corporate and Industry Relations (CIR) by filling Student Information Form (SIF).
- Interested NRI applicants should submit the payment of US $ 300 by demand draft in favour of “Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham”.
AEEE 2022 Registration
The university will invite the applications from the eligible candidates to admit candidates in the engineering courses of the university. Candidates will fill and submit the application form through online mode. Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination has already released the application form from 19th October 2018. Candidates would need to register themselves on the website by providing the personal details and they would need to upload the photo and signature while filling the application form. The admission authority will accept the application form only if the candidate has submitted the application fee.
The application fees for candidates seeking admission based on the rank scored in JEE mains is INR 300 and candidates seeking admission through AEEE 2022 is INR 1000. The online application fee can be deposited through internet banking, credit card, debit card, etc.
Candidates should follow the subsequent steps to fill the application form:
- The first crucial step is to register on the official website and candidates would need to fill the details like name, gender, date of birth, age as on 01st July 2018, category, PH category, valid email id and valid mobile number. Candidates would need to agree to the declaration after providing the above-mentioned details. And then the confirmation email will be sent to complete the registration process.
- Once the registration is completed, the candidates would need fill the online application form with the additional details which would include the personal details and academic qualifications. Candidates would need to provide the information on candidate’s nationality, father’s name, mother’s name, Aadhar card and parent’s contact number. Educational details would also need to be mentioned – candidates should make sure to provide the correct details as they would be verified during the document verification. If the admission authority finds the candidate has filled the wrong or false information, then the admission will be cancelled.

The AEEE examination is conducted through both online and offline modes and the total duration of the exam will be 150 minutes. The question paper will have 100 questions in the exam and will be multiple choice questions (MCQ) which will include subject’s physics, chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates should note that for every correct response 3 marks will be awarded and there will be negative marking in AEEE exam as 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

AEEE 2022 Admit Card
The admit card for the Amrita Engineering Entrance examination 2022 will be released through online mode on the official website. Candidates would need to download the admit card from the official website. The admit card would be available only after the slot selection is completed by the candidates. The admit card would not be sent through the post so the candidates must get the card from online mode. The slot booking process for the computer-based test will be started from the 5th April 2019 and the admit card for pen and paper-based examination will be released from April 2019. The slot timings for the computer-based test which will be held at all the approved centres are as follows:
- Timings for slot 1 are 9:00 am to 11:30 am
- Timings for slot 2 are 12:30 pm to 03:00 pm
- Timings for slot 3 are 04:00 pm to 06:30 pm
Candidates would need to follow the below steps to book exam date and slot:
- Candidates would need to login with the application number and date of birth.
- Candidates now can select the test centre and click on the continue button.
- In case of any issue the candidates are advised not to use the browser back button but instead close the browser and login again.
- The next step would be to select the test date. Candidates can select the test date based on the availability in the next screen.
- Candidates should note that the allotment of date and time slot will be done only on the first-come-first-serve basis.
- Candidates to confirm the slot and click on the confirm slot but should check the selection of the test centre, date and time before the confirmation.
- Candidates should note that the once the slot booking is confirmed it will not be changed under any circumstances.
- Once the slot booking is confirmed candidates would get the option to print the admit card.
The registered candidates can select the test centre, date and time slot according to their choice and subject to availability during the slot booking. The details of test centre, number of days, and number of operating slots in a day will be finalised based on the number of candidates registered in a computer-based test centre. In case the test centre is cancelled due to very less registrations then the candidates who opted will be allotted the near centre. Candidates will be informed about the change individually through the registered email id and registered mobile number.
The hall ticket or the admit card will contain the information like the candidate’s name, candidate’s registration number, exam date, exam centre address and other important details. Candidates should note that the candidates will be allowed to enter the examination hall only through the admit card.
It is highly recommended that the candidates keep the admit card safe with themselves as they would need the same at the time of counselling process also. Candidates would not be allowed for the counselling round without the admit card. Candidates would also need to carry one of the identity cards along with the hall ticket in the examination hall which can be voter if card, Aadhar card, ID card allotted by the school last attended, any other reliable document which proves identity.
AEEE 2022 Result
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham will announce the results online on the website. Candidates should note that the results will not be posted through the post. Candidates would need to check on the official website. Candidates who will qualify the minimum marks would need to appear for the counselling round. The admission authority of university will shortlist candidates based on AEEE score 2022 for various engineering streams according to merit. Candidates can check the results with the below given steps:

AEEE Cutoff
Amrita university will declare the cut off in the form of closing rank. The closing rank for the various B. Tech courses will be released into the various campus of the university for the admission.
