Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has declared its tentative calendar of IBPS Common Written Exam (CWE) for recruitment as Probationary Officers/Management Trainees (PO/MT)- VII, 2017-18.

The tentative dates declared for IBPS CWE (PO/MT)- VII are as follows:

Preliminary exam

Exam dates (4 days): 7-10-2017, 8-10-2017,  14-10-2017 and 15-10-2017 

Candidates can expect the notification for the exam around July-August 2017. As of now no changes have been introduced in the scheme of exam. In 2016, the prelim cut-offs (General) for each section was as follows: English- 7, QA- 8.25 and RA- 8.50

The prelims will be a one hour exam for a total of 100 marks. It will have three sections namely:

Mains Exam

Exam date: 26-11-2017. Since 2016, IBPS has introduced separate timings for each section. As soon as the time for sections gets over, the candidate is automatically taken to the next section.   

The Mains exam has five sections which are as follows:

 For every wrong answer, the penalty is 0.25 marks of marks assigned to that question. This will be deducted as penalty to arrive at a corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question. 

In 2015-16, a total of 1.27 crore candidates registered for various IBPS examinations. IBPS conducts recruitment exams to all Public Sector Banks, SBI, Associate Banks of SBI, LIC, RBI, NABARD, SIDBI and Insurance companies.
