Are you an ask-o-maniac?

Hey fellas! I know I am going to be judged by many after writing this but I have to do it to be at peace. Been a part of pagalguy since quite a long time, most of it as a silent one, going through numerous posts:some helpful, some interesting and then there are others which spur up one single reaction: why god,why you brought that in front of me?

There were posts which asked people to predict their percentiles in CAT and now there is a whole new breed of them.My facebook homepage is flocked with hundreds of posts belonging to the preparation groups there. People who have got the scores of a few exams they sat for are now posting the same irritating question again and again in different sentence formations obviously- “What are my chances of getting into this college?”. I see some generous people posting their replies to help them while my insides are screaming “Have you ever heard of google?”. I mean at least for once use google or any other search engine not to find the link to facebook log-in and that one other thing but to know about some stuff that matters.

Considering the kind of questions being asked,I ponder that people really have no idea at all about the exams they are appearing for. That is a real sorry state when you end up knowing the marks required to clear that exam after it’s over. There is an immeasurable bulk of articles, reports, analysis and what not available on internet just a click away. Then why not spare sometime for once to take an initiative on your own instead of becoming an ask-o-maniac. Yes,asking someone is not an issue but not doing anything on your part is one. We all want to be managers, right? So we won’t be fed with information to work upon by asking questions all the time. To know the unknown we will be required to research. And believe me it doesn’t involve putting up questions all over networking sites and asking for opinions. And think it this way and ask yourself “From where did the people who are replying came to know?”. Having information that is easily accessible anywhere on web at hand will enable you to think and analyse more and come up with decent queries.

A person is judged by the question he asks but not by the answers he give. So it’s better to get in the habit of atleast trying to know what can be known only by a click rather than going gaga over sites posting questions. Read the brochures of colleges or courses you are applying for and trust me they do have all the information one needs to start off with the process of registration and other useful things. With this I wish you a happy prep ahead. All the Best:)
