Balaji Institute of Technology and
Science

We continue to guide you on the various colleges that admit
students on the basis of their performance in the EAMCET. One of the most
common queries that students have is the likely cutoff for selection to various
colleges. Which are the different colleges that I may get selected to? What is
the minimum score needed for selection to a highly reputed branch at a top
college? These questions trouble every single student (and their parents).
Accordingly, we bring to you this series of articles on colleges that select
students on the basis of their performance in the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET
(Engineering and Medical Common Entrance Test). In these articles, we take a
look at the opening and closing ranks for admissions to these colleges in
2013-14. These articles would give you a brief idea of the expected opening and
closing ranks in 2015-16.

The EAMCET is conducted for entry to various professional degree
courses in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Various universities of Andhra Pradesh
give admission to students in courses related to medical, engineering and
agriculture on the basis of their performance in this exam. The Andhra Pradesh
State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) organizes the EAMCET in affiliation
with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU). This year, the exam is
scheduled on the 8th of May.

Engineering aspirants taking
the EAMCET need to answer a total of 160 questions on Physics, Chemistry and
Mathematics. The test involves no negative marking. The question paper is
available in English and Urdu. However, only candidates from the Hyderabad
centre can avail the question paper in Urdu.

In this particular article we take a look at the Balaji Institute of Technology and Science. The College was established in 2001. It is approved by
the AICTE and is affiliated to JNTU, Hyderabad.

This college offers undergraduate programs in Civil engineering,
Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication
engineering, Electrical & Electronics engineering and Mechanical
engineering.

The Civil engineering department
admits 60 students every year while the Computer Science & Engineering, the
Mechanical engineering and the Electrical & Electronics
engineering departments have an approved intake of 120 students per year. The Electronics
& Communication engineering department admits 180 students per year.
