Bank of India Credit officer Recruitment 2018 – Selection Process

Bank of India recruits the credit officer for loan disbursal and monitoring the entire lending process. The initial application and review, disbursal or denial of the request, recommendation and analyses are all done by the credit officer.

If the credit officer is in the Zonal or Regional Office, they are responsible for the initial scrutiny, analysis and recommendation, visit of the business etc. if it is a small branch office then credit officer would take all the responsibilities right till the sanctioning of the amount.  The officers will be posted anywhere in India.

The selection process for Credit Officer will be done with the three phases written exam, oral test, and interview.

The candidates who meet all the eligibility criteria will be selected on the basis of performance in various rounds of selection.

The written exam will be of online mode and the exam pattern for the JMGS credit officer scale 1 are as follows:

The time duration to complete the credit officer exam is 120 minutes. The question paper will be available bilingually in English and Hindi except for the English language. The test of English language will be of qualifying in nature, but that will not be added while preparing the merit list.

The personal interview will be conducted based on the merit list of the performance of the candidate in the online exam. The total marks for personal interview is 100 marks.

The candidates belonging to General/unreserved category have to obtain the minimum marks of 40% marks. Likewise, the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD are required to obtain a minimum of 35% marks. The candidates had to appear for the PI along with the set of documents if they are shortlisted in the online exam.

The recruitment result of the credit officer in Bank of India will be released in two parts. First, the result for computer-based exam will be released. After that, the candidates can check the final result of the interview that will be published on the official website with the merit list.

Confirmation of bank and security deposit:

After all the exams the candidates might have to face another test hosted by the bank after selection for confirmation. The bank may conduct separate online or written exam prior to confirmation of direct recruit officers in JMGS scale 1 and the candidate’s confirmation in the bank services shall be subject to qualifying the said exam as per the norms of the bank.

After that, the candidates who will be selected have to submit some security amount. The selected candidates will be required to deposit a specified amount as security which is refundable after 3 years to satisfactory service.
