BITS Pilani-Hyderabad Campus: The BITS Pilani-Hyderabad campus was established in 2008.The institute follows the curriculum and methodology of the BITS Pilani campus. BITS, Hyderabad has been accredited by the National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC) with A grade. The institute is spread over a 200 acre campus. The Hyderabad campus houses around 2800 students and the campus is equipped with the latest modern technologies like various laboratories, ultra modern classrooms, auditorium, library, world class sports facilities.
The Hyderabad campus offers B.E. (Hons.) programs in Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering. BITS Hyderabad also offers M.Sc. (Hons.) in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Economics, Mathematics and Physics. In addition, the college offers M.Sc. (Tech.) programs in Information Systems.
Overview of BITSAT:
The BITSAT is conducted every year for admission to B.E. (Engineering), B. Pharm., M.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. (Tech.) programs at various BITS campuses. This online test is conducted for admissions to the prestigious BITS (Pilani), BITS (Goa) and BITS (Hyderabad) campuses. BITSAT 2015 was held from 14th May to 29th May. Engineering aspirants taking the BITSAT needed to answer a total of 150 questions (worth 450 marks) on Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning. The sections on Physics and Chemistry consisted of 40 questions each while the section on Mathematics consisted of 45 questions. The exam also included 15 questions on English proficiency and 10 questions on Logical Reasoning. BITSAT 2015 was conducted on the basis of class 11th and 12th NCERT syllabus. The 180-minute examination consisted of multiple-choice questions only. Each correct answer was worth 3 marks and there was a penalty of -1 mark for every wrong answer. This year the admit list and the wait list announcement will be made on the 1st of July.
