Applications for the post of Regional Medical Officer have now been put up by the Cantonment Board Jalapahar. The candidates who are interested in applying for the same are eligible can now go to the official website of Cantonment Board to register themselves for the application.
The cantonment board is an administrative body which is under the control of Ministry of Defence. The term of an officer on the board is for five years. There are in total 8 elected members. There are a total of 4 categories in the cantonment board.
They provide services such as provision of public health, water supply, primary education and street lighting. Government of India finances the cantonment board. The cantonment board also gives out opportunities to young aspirants who are searching for employment.
The application process is through online mode. There is a total of 1 vacancy for the post of Regional Medical Officer. The candidates can apply on or before 24th of December 2019. The eligibility criteria for the candidates who will be applying for the post can be given as follows:
- Candidate should be a citizen of India
- The candidate must have completed both the written and practical exam of MBBS as an educational qualification
- A candidate who is in the last year of MBBS can also appear for the selection.
- The minimum age limit is 18 years, and the maximum age limit is 32 years as on 24th of December 2019. There will be no age relaxation for any of the caste or reservations.
The salary that will be paid will be around rupees 9,000 to rupees 40,500 which will also include GP of 5,400 rupees.
The application fee for general category and OBC is rupees 500 while the candidates of SC/ ST candidates will have no fee payment.
The selection will be based on the personal interviews for which the candidates will be called in after the officials have reviewed the qualification and experience.

It is also to be noted that no other forms of application will be accepted apart from the one submitted through the online portal means.
