Changes in the Selection Process for PGDM and PGDM-IB Courses at FORE School of Management, New Delhi
FORE School of Management, New
Delhi, a premier B-School has a large number of online applications for its
“Silver-Jubilee” batch of PGDM and 10th batch for PGDM-IB for the
academic years 2016-18.
This year, a few changes have been
introduced in the selection process. For starters, it has been decided to do
away with Group Discussion from the selection process from this year i.e. the
batch joining in year 2016. Selection will have a
separate component on General Awareness and carry a weight of 5% in the
selection. General Awareness will be a paper and pencil test and objective
type. The Personal Interview will be in-depth and the weight has been increased
from the present 15% to 20%. The weight for Written Ability Test (WAT) shall
remain unchanged. The WAT will involve writing an essay in around 150 words on
a contemporary topic. The other components of the selection process will be
CAT/XAT/GMAT score, academic performance and work experience.
To promote diversity,
a weight of 5%, over and above the selection criteria mentioned above, is
earmarked for applicants from J&K, the North Eastern States and the states
of southern India.
The complete break-up of component-wise
weight for selection is given below:
