The Diesel Locomotive Works, DLW, Varanasi has welcomed applications from candidates to apply for Apprentice posts. The candidates who are eligible and interested in the position can apply for the same through the official site of DLW at dlw.indianrailways.gov.in.
The closing date to apply for the post is till November 21, 2019. This recruitment will fill up around 340 Apprentice posts in the organization.
The Selected candidates will have to arrive for training and they will be provided with an apprenticeship contract with DLW, also all the candidates will be expected to comply with all conditions of this agreement. Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- Non-ITI:
The candidates must be above 15 years of age and beneath 22 years of age on or before November 21, 2019
- ITI:
The candidates must be above 15 years of age and beneath 24 years of age on or before November 21, 2019.
Educational Qualification
- Non-ITI:
The candidates should have passed the Class 10 examination or its equivalent with a least 50 percent marks.
- For ITI:
The Candidates should have passed a Class 10 examination or its equivalent with least 50 percent marks from recognized Board and also must have passed ITI in the relevant trades.
Selection Process
The choice of the candidate will be based on the merit list which will be prepared based on the percentage of marks in the matriculation examination.
If two candidates are having the equivalent marks, the older age candidate shall be granted first.
