Engineering aspirants in Mumbai prepare for MHT-CET 2016
The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) 2016 is barely four days away and candidates from Mumbai are all prepped for the exam.
PaGaLGuY spoke to a few aspirants to know more about their preparations for the entrance exam to be held on May 5, 2016. Mohit Kadolkar, a candidate from Mumbai, said, “Unlike JEE Mains, questions in MHT-CET will not be difficult. My concentration is more on Mathematics as each correct question will fetch me two marks, whereas it is only one in Physics and Chemistry.”
Many of MHT-CET candidates also took JEE Mains held in April 2016. Another aspirant from Mumbai, Shubham Tripathi, said, “I am confident now. Even if I get nervous during the exam, I know how to handle it and calm myself. Chemistry is scoring, so I am paying extra attention to it.”
Since there is no negative marking, aspirants are expecting a better score in MHT-CET than JEE Mains. The marks distribution system for Physics and Chemistry is the same. There will be 50 questions in each of the two subjects, and one mark for every correct answer. And for Mathematics also 50 questions but two marks for every right answer.
Issac, who will also take MHT-CET on May 5, told PaGaLGuY that he is not preparing any new topic, and is going to his coaching institute to give mock tests. Issac added, “I will attempt Chemistry first and then Physics in Paper I. As in Mains, I think Chemistry is a scoring subject in MHT-CET too.”
