ESIC (Employees State Insurance Corporation) is a regulatory body which has released the notification for recruiting SSO’s (Social Security Officers). The online application process started on September 07, 2018 and it was available till October 05, 2018. This year there are a total of 539 vacancies for ESIC Social Security Officer/ Manager Gr -II/ Superintendent. Following are the details regarding the ESIC SSO 2018:

ESIC SSO preliminary Examination i.e. Phase-I was held on November 03, 2018. It was an objective type examination with 3 sections: English Language, Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude sections. It had 100 questions with a total of 100 marks. And the results were announced providing the candidates who were selected for the Phase-II i.e. Main Examination. A total of 6202 candidates were shortlisted to appear for the mains exam. The Roll numbers of the candidates who were selected for next round were published on the official website of ESIC. The candidates who were able to clear the cutoffs fixed by ESIC were allowed for Mains exam. The candidates were selected in the ratio of 1: 10. This examination marks will not be considered for final merit.
ESIC SSO Mains Examination was held on December 15, 2018. Mains Exam also was an objective type test with 4 sections i.e. Reasoning, General/ Financial Awareness, English Language and Quantitative Aptitude sections. It had 150 questions with a maximum of 200 marks with separate time duration for each section. The results for this exam were announced on December 27, 2018. From 6202 candidates, 2115 candidates have qualified in the Mains exam and were allowed to appear for the Phase-III, Computer Skill Test & Descriptive Test. the list of the candidates who were shortlisted for the next round was announced in the ESIC official website. The candidates were selected in 1: 05 ratio.
The qualified candidates were allowed to appear for the Phase-III examination. The admit card for Phase III exam was released on January 08, 2019. It was held on January 13, 2019. Phase-III exam had 2 sections: English Language Test and Computer Skill Test. English language test was a descriptive one and it was conducted on paper & Pen mode. The Computer Skill Test was an objective type test. The exam was held for a total duration of 1 hour i.e. 30 minutes for each section. Exam Pattern for Phase-III exam:

Phase –III exam was conducted for a total of 11 marks with 50 in each section. English Language Test comprises of 2 questions based on Letter Writing and Essay Writing. Computer Skill Test had 3 questions.
- First was preparation 2 PowerPoint slides for 1 marks
- Next was typing the given words on MS Word document with formatting for 20 marks
- Lastly, using MS Excel preparation of Table using Formulas for 20 marks.
