Cut off Marks for 2015

In 2015, total cut off marks for general category students in IBPS PO Mains 2015 was 76.  The sectional cut off marks were as follows:

How were cut off marks calculated for Mains 2015 exam:

  • After applying penalty for wrong answers, the corrected scores of individual candidates in each objective test is arrived at.
  • The marks obtained by a candidate at the end of above step are equated* keeping in mind difficulty levels of different sessions. * This is called a ‘Normalisation’ process which balances all differences in scores that may have crept in due to level of difficulty for various sessions of the exam. It means you need not worry about the final outcome.
  • Final scores are rounded off to two digits after the decimal.

The IBPS Probationary Officer (PO)Prelims Exam was conducted across the country on October 16, 22 and 23, 2016. The results of the Prelims are usually declared about 15 days after the last session of Prelims. In 2016, the results are expected around November 5 or 6. Aspirants have about 25 days to prepare for Mains exam, counting from today.
