The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, abbreviated as IBPS, is a recruitment body established by the Government of India in 1975. With the objective of carrying out recruitment of young graduates into the public banking sector of India, the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection carries out written tests. It inducts such young graduates into nearly 20 regional, rural and public sector banks all over in India.

A very common examination conducted by IBPS every year is that of IBPS PO. Through this examination, candidates are selected for the posts of PO and clerks in several nationalised banks. This examination is a Common Written Examination (CWE) and is considered to be a doorway for such bank jobs. The recruitments take place at several stages the first stage being the Prelims.

The IBPS PO Prelims 2019 have already been conducted, with the final phase coming to an end on 19th October, 2019 itself. With the conclusion of the final phase, the experience, views and opinions regarding the examinations are also now out. Candidates appearing for the exam have shared their  experience of the examination on various platforms.

The analysis for the examination has not been done fully and completely till now, but a somewhat rough picture has been received by analysing the feedback as provided by the candidates. For the IBPS PO 2019 Preliminary exam the number of candidates appearing this year has considerably increased as compared to the last year. With this tentative increase, one can also expect a drop in the cut off marks for the exam.

The common written exam of IBPS PO 2019 was a paper carrying a total of 100 marks and comprising a total of 100 questions. Candidates were allotted a time period of one hour for submitting their papers. According to the overall reactions and responses, it can be believed that the examination was between easy to moderate difficulty.

However, these cut off marks are only the tentatively expected cut off marks which have been analysed on the basis of the 12th October exam slot.
