With the JEE Main 2015 offline exam having been conducted and the online exam is just around the corner, you must be wondering about the expected cutoffs for selections to the IITs.  So, we continue our series of articles wherein we would discuss the cutoffs for selections to each of the IITs individually. Selection process for IITs:

Candidates who secure a rank among the top one and a half lakh aspirants who appeared for the JEE Main 2015 are eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced examination 2015. The JEE Advanced is the final stage in the selection process for the IITs/ ISM Dhanbad. Candidates will finally be selected to the IITs/ ISM Dhanbad purely on the basis of their performance in the JEE Advanced 2015. Based on the candidates’ performance in the JEE Advanced paper separate rank lists are generated category wise. Seat allocation for each of the branches in each of the IITs is done based on different category wise rank lists.

In this article, we look at the cutoffs for the Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar (IITGN).

Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar (also known as IITGN), established in 2008 is currently located in Chandkheda, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. The first batch of students was admitted in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. The permanent campus of IIT Gandhinagar is under construction on the banks of Sabarmati near Palaj village. The institute took possession of over 400 acres of land in August 2012 and expects to move to the new campus by July 2015.

The institute will function as a fully residential campus and will be constructed in phases. The campus will be run on solar power. It is envisioned to be a pollution-free, green zone. The Institute premises and the student hostels are Wi-Fi enabled.At the undergraduate level (B. E. / B.
Tech.), this institute offers 150 seats in 5 different branches. The list given
below mentions the opening and closing ranks of students across different
categories that were selected to the various courses at this IIT in 2014. This
list will help you understand the likely ranks which will help you secure
admission to this institute.
