ISB gets EQUIS accreditation, joins reputed IIMs in the list of worldwide management institutes

The Indian School of Business (ISB) has secured accreditation from the EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) and became one of the 200 EQUIS accredited business schools worldwide, offering MBA programmes. Along with EQUIS, it has retained its accreditation from Association for Advancement of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), to become one of the hundred management schools worldwide to have both the accreditations. With EQUIS accreditation, ISB joins the club with IIM Calcutta to have both the accreditation in the country.

AACSB and EFMD are internationally accepted accreditation institutions focused on raising the standards of management education worldwide. ISB was the first B school in South Asia to get the AACSB accreditation in 2011. The accreditations are provided to institutes after evaluating its quality controls that can meet international standards. Internationalisation and ethics, connection with the corporate world and balance between academic and managerial relevance are given importance while deciding about the accreditation for management institutes.

Making the announcement, Professor Rajendra Srivastava, Dean, ISB, said, “It is a proud moment for all of us at ISB to be in the select group of schools accredited by EQUIS and AACSB. Over the past 15 years, ISB  has focused on building a high-quality teaching and research environment, delivering education that is responsive to the needs of businesses, government and the larger society and I am happy that our efforts are being recognised the world over.”
