The Income Tax department carried out raids at over 3 dozen centres and institutions of Kota’s biggest coaching institute, Allen Career Point Institute, across country.
Teams of Income Tax department’s investigation wing started their raids at over 3 dozen establishments of Allen Career Institute across Indian and several cities of Rajasthan including Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bhilwara and as well as Kota, where institute’s headquarter is situated. Raids were also conducted at Allen’s centre in Indore, Surat, Delhi and some centres in Maharashtra. The Income Tax department also carried out raids at the offices and residences of the Directors of the institute. The raids commenced early morning today.
Income Tax department sources informed that the teams searched documents related to income, coaching fees, hostel and mess income.
Income Tax department raids are likely to continue later today after which any disclosure about the raid findings will be made.
