JEE Main 2017 paper was well-balanced, and average in difficulty. If we compare today’s paper with JEE Main 2016, Chemistry is a notch higher in difficulty level, Mathematics is similar, and Physics is a little easy. This year the cut-off is expected to be between 100 – 105.

JEE Main 2017 section-wise analysis
Physics
The paper level was average, most of the chapters were covered. 6 questions were tough, 10 were easy and 14 were average. 50% of JEE Main 2017 Physics paper is average. Cut-off in this section will be a little high this time. It was a well-balanced paper. CBSE covered the syllabus well.
Chemistry
Today’s paper was based on simple concepts. It was NCERT based, and well-balanced. 10 questions were from Organic, 10 from Inorganic, and 10 were from Physical. Mettalurgical topic question was not there, but Qualitative analysis was there.
Mathematics
Overall difficulty of JEE Main 2017 paper was average. Five questions were of IIT-JEE Advanced level, 10 questions were NCERT level, and remaining 14-15 were also good questions. It was a calculative and balanced paper.
