JEE Mains 2016 exam paper analysis by FIITJEE

One of the centers for JEE Mains in Mumbai.

This paper has been analyzed by Prof. R.L Trikha. Prof. Trikha is the director with FIITJEE coaching classes for Engineering.

The Paper 1 for B.E. / B.Tech courses in JEE Mains 2016 followed the same pattern as that of the last four years, from 2011 to 2015. A few questions in Physics were tricky. As compared to last year, this section was tough. One question (Q. 84 in Set F) had two answers. One or two questions in Chemistry were challenging too. It was difficult compared to last year. A question (Q 17 in Set F) appeared to have no matching answer in the choices given. A few questions in Mathematics were lengthy. The difficulty level for the paper was moderate. For a student who has been focused and paid ample attention to improving speed and accuracy by taking mock tests on JEE Mains pattern must have done reasonably well. It is always relative performance that matters in such highly competitive examinations. The cut-offs are expected to be little higher this time around. Top 2,00,000 candidates of JEE Main will be eligible to appear in JEE Advanced on May 23, 2016, to slug it out to secure a seat out of 10,000 seats in the IITs/ISM Dhanbad.
