JPSC Mains Latest Update – Hearing in High Court, will come on Wednesday

The sixth JPSC (Jharkhand Public Service Commission) is the chief examination for Civil Services that was dated to begin on January 28, 2019, and will run till February 01, 2019. About 27,500 candidates have applied for this exam. On January 28, paper -1 & 2, on 29 Paper-3, on 30th paper-4, on 31st paper-5 and on February 01, Paper-06 exams will be conducted.

The Jharkhand Government in Ranchi, on January 21, 2019, has assured to probe alleged irregularities in the 6th JPSC Mains exam. And it also said that the decision will be made on keeping in mind the future of the young generation in the state.

Pankaj Kumar Pandey has filed a petition challenging the advertisement for the examination and also has challenged the results of the PT and demanded the rejection of the results. In Ranchi, the petition challenging the sixth JPSC Civil Services exam was heard on January 22, 2019, in the Jharkhand High Court. It was to be actually to be held on 21st Jan but was postponed till 22nd Jan. the petition has challenged the PT examination results of sixth Jharkhand Civil Service Examination (JPSC). In this case, the JPSC has now removed the modified result. Based on this result, the date for the main examination has been announced that it will be held from January 28, 2019, to February 01, 2019.

On January 21, 2019, there was a movement demanding the removal of the JPSC secretary was made. Nearly 400 candidates from the sixth JPSC tribal native students and social organizations protested for it. The candidates burnt their entrance papers and the burner of the secretary. The candidates alleged that there were irregularities in the conduct of the exam. The protesting candidates suspected that the son of JPSC secretary have passed in the sixth Civil Service Prelims examination even after the secretary remained in the post dealing with the main exam-related work. It has been said that there were continuous discrimination and nepotism from the announcement of the exam.

The candidates said that the Secretary in July 2018 has issued a letter stating that his son is a participant in this examination. He should be kept separate from the JPSC examination for this reason. But this was not informed to the Personnel Department. The candidates stated that even after this, he is constantly guiding the examination and they demanded cancellation of the exam.

The JPSC Secretary Jagjit Singh said that he has the financial authority towards the exam. As soon as the exam is being conducted, the answer book will be deposited to the Deputy Commissioner and from there the copy will be submitted to the Commission of the examination. He also stated that he cannot misuse his position anywhere here.

Due to this issue, the JPSC Personnel Department removed Jagjit Singh from the post of JPSC Secretary and replaced Ranendra Kumar, Director of DR Ramdial Munda Tribal Research Institute as the JPSC Secretary. The candidates were not satisfied with the replacement of the secretary. They also said that he has misused his post and somehow tried to organize the exam even though the case is going on.

The issue relating to the JPSC main examination was raised on January 22, 2019, by Leader of Opposition Hemant Soren in the Assembly. They asked for the postponement of the main exam as the case is in the court. At the same time, Chief Minister Raghuvar Das said that the issues raised will be analyzed and after that further steps will be taken.
