A Small Analysis on MICAT I 2018

MICAT 2018 Exam

MICAT test is basically organised by MICA Institute to take admission in Post-Graduation Diploma in Management-Communications (PGDM-C) which is equivalent to an MBA. To take admission in MICAT, it is mandatory for the candidate to appear in CAT, GMAT OR XAT. MICAT is held twice in a year.

MICA conducted MICAT I on December 2, 2018, so here we bring MICAT I 2018 analysis which will give you a brief idea about the exam pattern, difficulty of exam and cut-off.

EXAM PATTERN

There were three section of the paper:

Section C

1. Section A – This section is called the Psychometric test having 35 questions. Duration for this section was 25 minutes. In this section, you will see some tricky questions and therefore it needs good attention. This time the difficulty level of this section was moderate to hard. This test is meant to judge the candidate’s personal ability and that’s the only reason that there is no negative marking for this section. All questions should be attended mandatorily in this section.

2. Section B – This section had to be completed in 1 hour and 45 minutes. It had 0.25 negative marking for each wrong answer. This section is divided into four parts.

3. Section C –
This section is called Descriptive Writing. There were 4 questions in the section and 35 minutes given to attempt. There is no negative marking for this section.

Creative writing had the pictures line up of cars, blood cells, the wall beside a dead tree, and an emoji.

Argument writing had 3 questions, on the topic “Equality is a myth”. The third question in this part was asked: “How can you achieve Equality”. First, two asked to write for and against the topic.

An ideal length for creative writing will be 200-250 words, 3 points of 20-25 words for the first answer of argument writing and 100-150 words for the third answer of argument.

Overall MICAT Exam l 2018 difficulty level was moderate to hard. A 55+ score is good to get the call with 70-78% in CAT/XAT/GMAT
