In 1987, when Mizoram achieved its statehood, the Mizoram Public Service Commission (MPSC) was established. Like all other State Public Service Commissions in India, MPSC also acts as a recruitment body.
It recruits eligible candidates into various departments of the state government or provides job opportunities for several other government undertakings. It uses its website to inform interested candidates about available opportunities.
Mizoram Public Service Commission will be carrying out the recruitment drive for the post of Assistant Professor, according to its recent announcement. Interested candidates can apply for the posts through the online mode of application.
The notification was released by Mizoram PSC on 14th November 2019. The application process is open now and will continue till the next year, with the last date of the application being 24th January 2020.
There are a total of 4 vacancies available for the post of Assistant Professors.

Some qualifications that the candidates can make a note of are as follows –
- Assistant Professor (Maths) –
- Master’s degree in mathematics with at least 55% marks.
- Ed. degree with at least 55% marks.
- They must have qualified in the National Eligibility Test (NET).
- Assistant Professor (Mizo/Education) –
- Candidates must have a good academic record as defined by a recognised university with at least 55% marks.
- They should have a Masters degree in the relevant subject.
- They must have qualified in the National Eligibility Test (NET).

- Step-2: Go to the ‘Online Applications’ tab from the menu option available on the home page.
- Step-3: Register to the website by filling in the necessary details.
- Step-4: Login with the credentials and continue filling the application form meticulously.
- Step-5: Candidates will have to upload their documents like that of the passport size photograph and signature. The size of these documents should be accurate.
- Step-6: Submit the application form.
