National Institute Of Technology, Jamshedpur – Cutoffs for 2015

The JEE 2015 Seat Allocation process for the NITs (National Institute of Technology) is finally over and the NITs are scheduled to begin their academic year in the month of August. Candidates were finally selected to the NITs on the basis of their performance in the JEE Main 2015 and their performance in the Class 12 exam. This was also the first time that the NITs were a part of the Joint Seat Allocation Process that involved other reputed institutions like the IITs, ISM Dhanbad, IIITs and Other GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutes).

In this article, let us take a look at the cutoffs/closing ranks for the National Institute Of Technology, Jamshedpur.

Regional Institute of Technology was established on 15th August 1960 under the REC scheme. On 27th December 2002, RIT Jamshedpur was converted to National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur. The campus is a self-contained one. It is located on the outskirts of Jamshedpur on 320 acres of sprawling, wooded land. It is a perfect blend of green country-land and industrial area.

At the undergraduate level (B. E. / B. Tech.), this institute offers 601 seats in 7 different branches. Selections to these seats is done on the basis of a student’s All India Rank in the JEE Main 2015.
