NEET UG 2017: Doubts about online form filling solved, check here

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is conducting the National Entrance cum Eligibility Test – Under-Graduate (NEET-UG) 2017, the last date for which is March 1, 2017. NEET, for admission to under-graduate courses, will be held on May 7, 2017. Students have been finding it difficult to manoeuvre through the website, making them anxious as their online forms are incomplete. A list of problems that students came across have been answered below:

Q. Aadhaar Number has been issued to me recently but when I am applying for NEET, it is showing the details of my Aadhaar card are not matching. How do I complete the application submission process?

A. In the window “Selection Identification Type” select Aadhaar Enrolment Number in place of Aadhaar Number. Aadhaar Enrolment Number is a 17-digit number

    Q. I did not get confirmation of my online payment though I made the payment.

    A. Wait for 24 hours before making another attempt at payment. Most cases, a confirmation will be generated. The problem occurs when Bank and NEET websites are disconnected. This error is corrected by end of day.

    Q.What to do if: i) I have given wrong e-mail ID & correct mobile number ii) I have given correct e-mail ID & wrong mobile number

    A. If either your mobile number or email is wrong, you can receive information on one which is correct.

    Q. I am from Uttar Pradesh but residing in Delhi for past 10 years. What should I fill in the Column ‘State of Eligibility (For 15% All India Quota)’

    A. The candidate is free to decide in such cases. But, such candidates can apply for counselling in both Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. During the counselling, his / her eligibility for the 85% quota seats will be checked by the State Admitting Authorities and if he/she is found eligible, he/she will be given admission, not otherwise.

    Q. I am a non-resident Indian (NRI) and I don’t have Aadhar card. What identification number can I fill?

    A. NRI can fill their passport numbers instead of Aadhar number.

    Q. If a candidate is eligible under OBC (Creamy layer) category and OBC quota under State Quota system in the concerned State, what category should he/she fill – Unreserved or OBC category?

    A. Candidate will apply for counselling in the concerned State by giving the Category applicable in the State. Eligibility for the 85% Quota seats will be checked by the State Admitting Authorities and if found eligible, he/she will be given admission against reserved category, and not otherwise.
