NMAT is a national level test conducted by the GMAC for admission in top Management colleges around India through an online computer-based test. Some top management schools which consider the NMAT score are NMIMS, SPJIMR Mumbai (PGMPW), ISB, VIT Vellore, XIM Bhubaneswar, and around 18 more schools in India, Philippines, South Africa, and Nigeria.

Full-Form of NMAT

The full form of NMAT is the NMIMS Management Aptitude Test, where NMIMS stands for the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies. This exam is held by the Graduate Management Admission Council or GMAC.

The fee structure for the NMAT is:

Examination Pattern

The NMAT is a Computer Based Test conducted online by the GMAC with a total number of 120 questions divided into three sections. The whole available time is two hours, which is again divided into the time limit for each section. You have the convenience of choosing the order of parts. The different sections are:

Retakes

GMAC allows a maximum of two retakes for a candidate within the year’s testing period. That means a total number of three attempts. Absenteeism is considered a retake.

Scores

The scores of the test are available 4-5 weeks after the examination is held. The ratings are then Scaled to eliminate any difference that may have cropped up due to different candidates getting different papers. The Final Percentile Score is calculated and made available only after all candidates have finished with their examinations. Generally, the final percentile will be made available in the third week of January 2020.

Cut-off Marks

After completion of the entire process of the NMAT examination, each institute declares its cut-off marks on the website. The cut-off each year is decided based on the total number of appearing candidates, the total number of seats, full marks, and the difficulty level of the exam.
