Ordnance Factory Board (OFB) has recently opened up the application procedures in order to carry out the recruitment procedures to the post of Apprentice. As per the notification, there will be vacancy for about 4805 positions in different trades.
All candidates who are willing to apply and meet the eligibility criteria can apply to the posts of Apprentice. In order to complete the online application procedures, the candidates need to follow the instructions mentioned in the notification.
Eligibility criteria
In order to meet the eligibility criteria, the candidates need to be a 10th passed from any recognized Board. He/she needs to have minimum 50% Marks in aggregate and it is mandatory to have secured 40% Marks in Mathematics and Science each. For those belonging to ITI Category, a candidate needs to be qualified in relevant trade test from any recognized by NCVT or SCVT or any other authority.
People will be recruited for around 4805 vacancies through this recruitment process. Among these 4805 vacancies, 1595 vacancies fall under Non-ITI Category and 3210 are under the ITI Category. Candidates with a requisite qualification, having experience in the relevant subject can go through other requirements for the post and apply accordingly.
For those belonging under non-ITI candidates with the record of passing Madhyamik (class X std or equivalent) with 50% Marks in aggregate and with 40% Marks in Mathematics and Science each can apply
The age limit varies from 15 years to 24 years but there may be certain relaxation in the upper age limit as per Govt Rules.
