RRB NTPC CBT-1 is the online Computer Based examination conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board for various Non-Technical Popular Categories. The RRB NTPC CBT-1 exam was announced to be conducted in 2019 itself, but as of now, no details relating to the examination has been released. This is because the Railway Recruitment Board is on the look for a new agency that can conduct the examinations for its various recruitment drives.
With the Railway Recruitment Board being occupied with the search of a new agency as its priority, it is less likely that the details for the RRB NTPC CBT-1 exam details will be released anytime in this month. Interested candidates have been waiting for the release of information such as the date of release of the admit card, the date is the examinations and the exam schedule.
According to its information notification, RRB had stated that the respective details would be released by the month of September. However, one must expect a delay of at least two months for the release of these details. The board has currently invited the applications for an Examination Conducting Agency (ECA) from both private and public stakeholders. For carrying out the selection, RRB has also set up a committee for the same which will be looking into all the applications.
The question paper for Junior Engineer CBT-2 by RRB had been allegedly leaked in August 2019, and the decision to the change the Examination Conducting Agency is considered to be a result of this fiasco. Two people have also been arrested in Mumbai owing to this violation. However, such claims have not been accepted by the RRB, which has been regarding the search for a new agency for conducting examinations as a “standard procedure” because the term of its older agency has reached its time.
RRB NTPC Exam Date 2019
In an interview with The Indian Express, a senior official stated that “After receiving the applications, we will shortlist the agency. This may take over a month.” During this week, the committee will be making decisions pertaining to the basic eligibility criteria along with other terms and conditions with regard to the recruitment of the agency. Following these decisions, a tender will be released for the same.
The basic things that the RRB is expecting from the Examination Conducting Agency are as follows –
- The ECA should have the capacity to host over one lakh candidates in a single shift all over the country.
- Among other functions that the ECA must carry out, it must be able to do meticulous planning of the examinations, properly mobilising large-scale resources and most importantly collecting and handling data and processing it in an error free manner.
- For the ECA to conduct the examinations for RRB, it is mandatory for them to use software that is not only certified but also thoroughly tested.
Thus, one can only expect the schedule for RRB NTPC CBT-1 once the board has a new agency finalized. For this particular exam, nearly 1,26,30,885 applications have been made by aspiring candidates. RRB NTPC will be filling up 35,208 vacancies.
