Steel Authority of India Limited, also known as SAIL is a government of India company which is the largest steel and steel products manufacturer in India with integrated steel plants and units in various districts of the country.
SAIL had issued an official notification inviting applications for filling up around 296 vacancies for the posts of Attendant cum Technician (53),Operator cum Technician (Trainee) (123), Junior Staff Nurse (21), Mining Foreman (14), Mining Mate (30), Surveyor (4), Pharmacist (7), Sub Fire Station Officer (8) and Fireman cum fire engineer driver (36).
All interested candidates who want to apply for any of these posts can do so by visiting the official website of SAIL which is www.sail.co.in which contains all details about the vacancies. The application process which had already begun and is still on is supposed to end on the 15th of November 2019. There is, however, a provision of paying the application fee till the 16th November 2019.
All candidates must go through the eligibility requirements mentioned for every post. Only if one meets the eligibility criteria can one apply? All applicants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application and must have at least qualified in their class 10 board exams.

- Click on ‘Career’ option on the homepage.
- On the page that appears, click on the ‘Job Openings’ option.
- You’ll find a link flashing ‘Apply’ right next to Bhilai Steel Plant, SAIL OCT, ACT.
- Fill up all relevant information carefully and upload scanned images of whatever has been mentioned.
- Finally, make the payment of the application fee in order to complete the application process.
The cost of application is Rs. 250 for all posts. However, for 3 posts, namely Attendant cum technician, Fireman cum fire engine driver and Mining mate, the application fee is Rs. 150. The salaries of all selected candidates will change from the first to the second year of working and will range from Rs. 8600 to Rs. 12,200 but will obviously differ for different posts.

The recruitment process for filling up these vacancies shall begin with an online test, the date for which is yet to be published. Those candidates who pass the online test shall be eligible for a skill test, and a Physical Ability Test (PAT) and driving test are part of the final stage. Stages 2 and 3 are mainly qualifying stages.
