SBI PO 2017: Registrations to begin from February 7 for 2313 vacancies, check eligibility here

The Central Recruitment and Promotion Department of the State Bank of India has released notification for SBI PO 2017 recruitment exam. According to the notification, an online SBI PO preliminary exam 2017 will be conducted on April 29, 30, and May 6, 7, 2017 to shortlist candidates for SBI PO 2017 main exam. The exam will be conducted for a total of 2,313 vacancies including last year’s backlog, according to SBI.

Eligibility

  • Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government.
  • Age limit- Above 21 years and below 30 years as on April 1, 2017.

  • Mains (II) – Descriptive test of 50 marks and duration of 30 minutes will be conducted, after Mains (I) on same day. The test will be of English language – Letter writing and Essay. Descriptive test of only those candidates will be evaluated who score qualifying marks in Objective test (Mains-I).
  • Group exercise and Interview – Group Exercise (GE) will be for 20 marks and interview will be for 30 marks.
  • Final selection – The marks obtained in the Prelims-I will not be added for the selection. Marks obtained in Main Exam, both in Objective Test and Descriptive Test, will be added to the marks obtained in GE & Interview for preparation of the final merit list.
  •  Marks secured by the candidates in the Written Test (out of 250 marks) are converted to out of 75 and marks secured in Group Exercises & Interview (out of 50 marks) are converted to out of 25. The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating converted marks of Written Test, and Group Exercises & Interview out of 100 for each category. The selection will be made from the top merit ranked candidates in each category.
  • Results of the candidates who have qualified for Group Exercises & Interview and the list of candidates finally selected will be made available on the bank’s website.
