SBI PO is the most awaited job in the country and one of the most important competitive exams in India. It is also deemed to be the toughest one also. The SBI PO exam is conducted to select the eligible candidates for the posts of Probationary Officer. It is considered to be a prestigious job in the banking sector.

Exam pattern:

The exam is conducted in three phases namely Prelims, Mains, and Group Discussion/Interview.

Each stage of the exam has a different paper pattern. Stage 1 and 2 will be conducted in online mode. Stage 3 face to face interactions.

Preparation tips:

Prelims:

English language:

It is one of the easiest sections to crack. Brush up the skills of grammar by reading daily and it will also help improve vocabulary. The questions in the sections are usually from Para jumbles, spotting errors, antonyms, and synonyms. Take a look at the previous year question paper also.

Quantitative aptitude:

It is the toughest as observed by SBI PO previous year question papers. Be well versed in topics like average, time and work, number series, quadratic equations, simplification, etc. This section is kept for testing the numerical ability and problem-solving skills of the candidates. Practice is compulsory in this section.

Reasoning ability:

It is the most scoring section. Practice regularly to crack the exam. The questions asked will be very logical in nature. The topics need to focus by the candidates will be Syllogism, Puzzles, Seating Arrangements, etc. finish the practice and start the revision as soon as possible.

Mains:

English Language:

In this also brush up the grammar and improve the vocabulary by reading daily. It is one of the easiest sections to crack.

Data interpretation and Analysis:

This section is a little bit tough as compared to the other sections. In this section, the problem-solving ability of the candidates will be tested. Practice is very mandatory for clearing this section and passing the exam of SBI PO.

Reasoning and Computer Aptitude:

Practice this section nicely and can score more in this section. Revise this after practicing well. In computer aptitude, the candidates have to know the basic knowledge of computer software and hardware. The important topics will include in computer are the computer basics, operating systems, LAN and WAN, Basic MS office, etc. This section is one of the easiest section to score high.

General awareness:

If a high score is needed in this section then it is a must to read the newspaper and magazines and have to watch the news daily. The important topics that are needed to be focused by the candidate are Indian economy, Marketing, Awards and Honours, Indian Constitution, Banking, Agriculture, Sports, etc. Banking terminologies have to give more attention.

And mock tests should be taken often to test how much far the candidate has prepared for the exam of SBI PO.
