Sigh of Respite for Young Guns of Cricket

After a tyrannical rule of Ravi Shastri over post-match ceremonies, which are accused of ruining many young talents and budding players, a sigh of respite comes from the hands of none other than the god of cricket, Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar.

A recent survey conducted by “Youngsters-bachao” campaign concluded that it was not fast bowling or bouncers that intimidate youngsters but fiery questions asked by Ravi Shastri in post match ceremonies. “Cricketers such as Rahul Sharma, Yusuf Pathan are now articulating their feelings about haunting experience they have had while standing in front of Ravi and answering his unanswerable questions”, says Mr. Kehke Lunga in an interview.

Yusuf Pathan told our Bakwaas News reporters that he intentionally had gotten out at several occasions fearing Ravi’s interrogations that comes as complementary with MoM award. “Earlier I used to be fearless”, says dejected Yusuf, “but later I came to know that it is not just about Ravi Shastri and I. My interview videos got uploaded on You Tube, and the comments were humiliating. Later, I stopped performing”. Rahul Sharma echoes, “Albeit, my performance in IPL last season was not good enough to make me stand in front of babbling machine (Shastri) but he got a chance to intimidate me and conjured up those kind of questions that I would have never been able to answer even after getting a degree from Oxford English school. I had no chance but to resort to my own Punjabi English that was later candidly ridiculed by Yuvraj Singh.”

Finally, Sachin comes to rescue with his book. He quoted as saying he was not being able to digest the term “retired” as warmly as Dravid or VVS Laxman had so he went on authoring this book.

Although, this book has original content of 192 pages but Sachin, who is already fed up from his numerous nervous 90s, published testimonials stretching over remaining 8 pages including 6 pages long testimonial by, not hard to guess, Navjot Singh Siddhu. In this Siddhu has not only jotted down about the book but also about his experience working in Comedy Nights, and about Dal-Tadka he had eaten at some dhaba.

Despite hue and cry of Sachin’s fans, ICC said it would not include this 200 pages book as a double century in Sachin’s record. In another turn of event, Rahul Gandhi and Narendra Modi are reported associating Sachin’s name with their own parties. Modi went a step ahead and announced to build a big statue of Sachin near Narmada by collecting metal from all retired cricketers and will call it by the name “Statue of Century”.

If every thing falls in place this book is slated to release after Wankhede Test. Hope this will end all the misery of youngsters who find it hard to solve the Ravi-conundrum. Also, let’s hope critics will not rise from their graves to demand Sachin’s retirement from this new innings.
