The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is the most important recruitment body established by the Government of India for induction of eligible candidates into subordinate positions in various departments and ministries. The parent body of the Staff Selection Commission is the Department of Personnel and Training. In order to carry out its function of recruitment, the SSC has been invested with the right to conduct relevant examinations.

The Staff Selection Commission conducts the SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) exam for recruitment of candidates into posts which require a minimum educational qualification of higher secondary level. Thousands of people apply for this exam every year.

The selection procedure for SSC CHSL Exam comprises of three stages. These are as follows –

Tier-I of SSC CHSL 2019 was conducted between 1st July and 26th July 2019 whereas Tier-II was conducted on 29th September 2019. The date for the Skill tests is yet to announced by SSC. SSC CHSL 2019 is being conducted to fill up a total 5895 vacancies.

Skill tests are conducted for only selective posts, and the tests vary according to the different posts for which it is being carried out.

For the final selection for the various SSC CHSL posts, candidates will have to appear for document verification after they have cleared all the stages. Candidates will have to produce original copies of the following documents and submit the photocopies of the same –
