Top companies recruit TISS students for Summer placements

Even though the students were only a few months into their post graduation course, all of them were exposed to the industry as such because of the concept of field work which is unique only to TISS. Field work is a concept where a student is placed in an organization during a semester and the student is to learn about the organization, and if needed, do a project for the organization during the period by visiting the company twice a week. The various field work organizations where students were placed included Godrej Industries, Asian Paints, MTV, L & T, Crompton Greaves, L’Oreal, Philips, Centurian Bank, Mahindra Gesco, Wyeth, Monsanto, Siemens, Wartzilla, Godrej & Boyce, , Taj Group of Hotels, Pidilite, Rashtriya Chemicals Factory, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Steel etc.

Though summer internship is not mandatory as per the curriculum laid down by the university, the students were very conscious in their decision to opt for an organization during their summers from their value addition perspective.
