The Union Public Service Commission conducts examination every year to select candidates for the posts of Indian Admirative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) group 1 and group 2 posts. The candidates have to have basic eligibility then the civil service examination will be conducted to select the candidates who are eligible to get posted. Every year the Government fixes a certain cut-off, and the candidates who get the mark will be eligible for posting.
On April 5, 2018, a total of 759 candidates had selected for the posting in the post of IAS, IPS and IFS Group 1 and Group 2 posts and the student who scored the highest mark was Kanishka Kataria who has scored a total of 1121.
Recently the Union Public Service Commission has released a notification that it has selected 53 more candidates for the posting in IAS, IPS, and IFS Group 1 and Group 2 posts. Among the newly selected students, Prachi Singhal has scored the highest marks. He has scored a total of 982 marks. The candidates have been selected from General Category, Other backward classes and the other categories.
Steps to View the UPSC Civil Service Exam Result:
To view the results of the UPSC civil service examination, the candidates have to follow the following steps.
- The candidates have to visit the official website of the Union Public service Commission, www.upsc.gov.in to view the result of the examination.
- There the candidates will find a section, “What’s new”.
- Clicking on the what’s a new link will take the candidates to a new page where the candidate has to click on the UPSC Civil service examination results 2018.
- The results of the candidates will be presented in it.
