It is neither an article nor a debate. It is just a little attempt of soul searching. So, what do you think? Are you happy? If not, what is it you are missing? What is it that makes you happy? What it takes to be happy?
It is a million dollar question and finding its answer is probably the sole aim of our life. Isn’t it? For our whole life, we keep searching of happiness. We earn and we spend. We love and we lost. We born and we die. But, still not everyone is lucky enough to get an answer in their life.
So, what is it that makes you Happy?
Is it money?
Probably not. I have seen many people who earn in 5 or 6 figures, but are not happy at all. Money doesn’t guarantee you happiness. You cannot purchase happiness using your dollars. There is a proverb “Money can’t buy happiness, but it’s a lot more comfortable to cry in a Mercedes than on a bicycle. ” I do not think it is valid at all. When you are not happy, you do not care if you own a bicycle or a Mercedes as none of them is making you happy.
Happiness is where your Heart is
You must have understood the meaning if you had read the novel “Alchemist” by “Paulo Coehlo.” Most often, it is not the destination that pleases us, but it is the journey. Follow your heart and you will find the secret path to happiness. This is why, I travel a lot ?
Happiness is family and Friends
Those, who have family and friends, are very lucky. Remember that not everyone is blessed with a good company of friends and family. Try to appreciate what you have and love them. Your parents are probably the only human beings who love you unconditionally. You are happy when you are with them. Or you are happy when you are with your friends, good ones.
Happiness is To love and to be loved
Love is eternal. Love can heal anything. Before you go out searching for love, it is important that you love yourself. A person who is not happy with himself cannot make anyone else happy.
To conclude, happiness has different meaning for different people. Some find it in money, love or family while others spend their whole life in search for happiness, but cannot find it.
