Why do you want to be a banker?
Hey guys, please share your feedback on my answer to the question “Why do you want to join banking, when you have a background in IT?”
My answer:
– Sir, Banking sector is witnessing a phenomenal revolution of late.
– While the recently launched Jan Dhan Yojana will help take banking services to the doors of unbanked households, India is also gearing up for better investments and international co-operation, in which banks are going to play a gigantic role.
– Backbones as they are, of our economy.
– In this new era of banking, personnel are required from all backgrounds. Fresh thoughts will help jump-start this new era.
– With the advent and growth of technology in the banking sector, it will not be difficult for someone with my background to keep up with the technological aspects and new developments.
– That said, public sector banks are pivotal to national development and growth of businesses and households at the basest level. To be a part of such a dynamic sector, will be really fulfilling.
– Sir, I would also like to quote something from PM Modi’s recent speech, “Agar aap kisi private company ke employee se poocho, toh wo kehte hain, “Sir, job kar raha hoon.” Par jab public sector ke employee se poocha jaye, toh wo kahenge, “Sir, service karta hoon :)””. Which is definitely true in case of public sector banks as well ?
