Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2022
The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is an entrance examination for management schools. From 2018, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will administer the CMAT. The CMAT score is accepted by all All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved Institutions or University Departments, Constituent and Affiliated Colleges.
The CMAT application form will be accessible from February 16, 2022, and the test will be held on April 9, 2022.

CMAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be a citizen of India.
- The CMAT exam is open to anyone who has earned a Bachelor’s degree (Graduation) in any field.
- Students enrolled in Graduate Courses (12 + 3) may also apply for CMAT. It should be noted that only those whose results will be declared before the start of the academic year 2022-23 are eligible to apply.
CMAT 2022 Registration
On the NTA website, you can find the application forms for CMAT 2022 from February 16, 2022, onwards.
- Only ON-LINE applications will be accepted.
- There will be no consideration for offline submissions of the Application Form.
CMAT Application Process
Step 1: Registration
- To begin the process, applicants must register on the CMAT official website
- Ensure that you have a valid email address and phone number before applying.
- Step 1: Create an account as a new user. You must complete Self Registration, which entails providing some basic information about yourself.
- Once you click submit option, the information you have added, canot be changed.
- When you submit your information, a unique six-digit password will be generated and shown on screen, as well as transmitted via message and email.
- For all subsequent logins, you can choose Existing User option and use the 6 digit password to logins.
Step 2: Payment of CMAT Fee
Candidates have two options for this:
- i) ONLINE PAYMENT
- Payment mode is: Credit card / Debit card / Net Banking
- You will receive a confirmation E-mail and SMS after your payment has been completed successfully.
- ii) CASH Payment in SBI bank
- 3 copies of the challan need to be printed
- On the challan, fill in all the necessary information
- Challans and cash should be deposited at an SBI branch
- Challan payment can only be done from the next day of generating the challan (e.g., a challan generated on the 24th can only be paid on the 25th).
- You’ll receive confirmation via email or SMS within 48 hours.
CMAT 2022 Exam Pattern
Examinees follow a specific pattern for the CMAT. The CMAT Exam Pattern will remain unchanged from last year. Here are the exam patterns detailed below.

Duration of this exam: 3 hours or 180 minutes
Maximum marks: 400 marks

Marking Scheme
- There is a time limit of 180 minutes (3 hours) for the test
- Each correct answer will receive four marks.
- Negative marking will done: – one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- There is no deducting of marks and no awarding of marks for unanswered questions.
Tip: In order to know better about the exam better and the marketing scheme, students should and\or expected to take the Online Trial Test. The trial test will give the students a clear picture of layout, design and navigation functionality for the CMAT 2022.
CMAT 2022 Syllabus
CMAT exam has 5 sections – Quantitative Techniques, English Comprehension, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness and Innovation & Entrepreneurship. The broad topics covered under the sections are as follows –
Quantitative Techniques: Number Systems, Ratio & Proportion, Time & Distance, Time & Work, Profit & Loss, Percentage, Pipes & Cistern, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Quadratic & Linear Equation, Line graph, Pie Chart, Bar Graph, and Partnership.
Logical Reasoning: Linear Arrangements, Statements Arguments & Assumptions, Sequencing, Matrix Arrangements, Number Series, Analogy Test, Blood Relations, Coding and Decoding, Inferences, Statements and Conclusion, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Symbol Based Problems, Direction, Distance, and Ranking.
English: Vocabulary, Para Jumble, Paragraph Completion, Error finding, One- word Substitution, Synonyms & Antonyms, and Reading Comprehensions.
General Awareness: General awareness is a very vast section. Basically, it focuses on the current affairs. Keep yourself up to date with the latest news and events.
CMAT 2022 Admit Card
For graduate students, the CMAT 2022 exam is one of the most essential management exams. Candidates must put in a lot of effort and prepare mock tests. The admission card is the most significant document that will be required to take this exam. The admit card of the candidate is the only proof that the candidate has applied for the exam and has paid the fee as well.
In case the candidate forgst to bring his or her admit card, the student will not be permitted to sit in th examination. At the examination centre, students are recommended to bring at least two printed copies of their admit card.
Only those applicants who have completed and submitted their applications by the deadline will be issued an admission card.

The candidates are required to follow the following steps to download their admit card.
- Go to the official website and click on the admit card download link.
- Required details like; username, password, email id, etc, need to be added
- On the screen, the candidate’s CMAT 2022 admission card will be displayed.
- Download admission card’ option will appear at the bottom of the screen, which the candidate must select.
It is also recommended that the candidate print out his or her admit card and present it when asked at the examination hall.
The candidate has the option of selecting one of three centers based on their preferences. The CMAT exam is held in several cities across India, and candidates can choose the location that is most convenient for them. The names of a few of the exam centers are listed below.

CMAT 2022 Result
- The candidate can check their results for CMAT 2022 from the official website of NTA. On the 16th of April 2022, the CMAT 2022 exam results are likely to be announced.
- Candidates will be able to see their absolute score as well as a percentile in the Score Card (for both sectional and overall score). Every test taker’s rank will be communicated to them.
- The scores of CMAT are valid for only one academic year, i.e., 2022 to 2023.
- The shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview rounds in depending on the specified cutoff, students will be admitted to their respective colleges.
CMAT Cutoff
Cutoff requirements for 950–1000 B-Schools are based on CMAT results. Many top MBA programmes accept CMAT scores, including K J Somaiya, JBIMS, PUMBA, IFMR, and N L Dalmiya.
