IMS people gave a very good sample MET. Catch hold of a IMS student near you.
The test is a 20 page booklet and has some very interesting questions. Also it had a set of questions asking about the CEOs of the famous Indian companies like rediff.com, TCS, Wipro, HLL etc.

well guys,had my met,gd pi at lucknow today.there were 36 people divided into 4 batches with 2 batches running simultaneously.
met was rather lengthy,with lots of question if awreness like who owns servo,where is bata frm (country)2-3 witeups on statements like "no man is happy till he is dead " and one rc (small) two more write the essance of the given para.ten trick questions,like how are 6 matchsticks equal to 11 and give analogies to " my booss blows his top at the slightest provocation".also write a story begining with "the very first day as i stepped into mica.....".
gd was rather easy to deal as the 4 panelists were pointing out people who could not speak and asking them "what are your views on this".the topic was the emerging media (tv net) has made humans incapable of forming social relations
int was general questions like why do you want to do integrated comm.management,how do you relate to it,which ads you like,why,emerging trends in todays ad world,hobbies,etc....about 15 min.

hey code red. thaks a ton for posting ur experience. MET was getting fuzzier and fuzzier the more i thought about it!
couple of doubts: d'yu think u could have prepapred better for it? which question there do u feel u should have done some prep for? what pointers for the rest of us punters who have our interviews coming up? oh yeah, and i'd really appreciate it if you could give us an idea of the time all this took and what kind of waiting u had to do in between... eg. did it start on time, how long each session took, etc.

had my MICA yesterday and it didnt go off too well. Ill tell ya folks all abt it as that might be the only good thing coming out of the whole process.
the whole batch scheduled fr a day is divided into 4 batches with one half of each beginning at 10.30 and the other at 2.
the MET is from 9.00 to 10.30 and has some mensa type puzzlers, some rc questions, "essense of a paras", some gk questions like "which school is sumntra ghoshal from","magsasay winner","which channel has roped in shekhar suman" etc. it also has some Microsoft type puzzlers and taglines.
Basically other than the gk it makes sense to go in with a clean slate,totally unprepared because the creativity flows better.
i did the dumb thing of answering questions serially and since u get only 90 mins just make sure to speed things up a little bit.
Since my GD was at 2,went home and chilled by watching two episodes of "will and grace" and came back at 2. The GD topic was "yeh pyaas hai badi captured the essence of the youth better than yeh dil maange more". The GD was pretty civilised but i cdnt speak a lot,although the little that i did made sense. the format fr Gd varies slightly with each GD,sometimes they ask the grp to chose a topic,sometimes they interfere,sometime they ask ppl to summarise.
The interview revolves arnd ur appliction form. I was asked a lot on my job as an editor of a magazine and the interview went on to question my views in atheism, ethics in ads. But other ppl were askes a lot of question on economics. i was askes a few and blew them up majorly. I was aksed to transalate a few thngs into french cos ive done it. Mid way thru my int. one of the guys said "we dont think u did very well on ur gd"-but i handled the statement ok i think
They also ask u abt the curriculum at MICA and if u say u plan to specialise in say MR then theyll ask you some questions abt it pacca.
The panel was really friendly and not at all combative in nature, they put u at ease and dnt stress you out.
The interview formats vary individually and just brush up on what you have written in you application form.
they also call current mica students to the met,so u can spend time interacting with them.
so hope you ppl have got a fair idea,ive tried and taken out my answers out of the descrip. cos i dnt think that wd serve any purpose. Overall i think if i hadnt blown up my chances, i might actually had a lot of fun-hw many ints and gd's can u say that abt?

I got my gd/pi today. It really was a fun experience.
I had gone through previous posts here about MET but none of the questions was same. Mostly it had RC type passages, some statement to comment about, few gk and puchline questions and some relationship questions. In all 80 Qs but timing was a bit problem due to the lenght of answers to write, so be careful.
GD was on "Women makes better bosses than men", i guess it was because in r group there were 3 girls and 3 guys. Everyone favoured it but i was against it. So that was were i was grilled as GD and PI panels are same. I had 10-15 mins pi in which he started off by saying "I have made up my mind to not to take you because you r an MCP - Male Chauvinist Pig". OH MY GOD!! I had to convine him that he was wrong .......................
At the end it was a great experience, and before i end i am not MCP !!!!!!!

well folks, it was the 5th of april and i was feeling sure of converting my lbsim interview held on 2nd of the month. i had a mica call the next day. it was also my girl friends birthday on the 6th. i had to choose one thing. i thought real hard. i have always wanted to make a name in the auto sector. mica was just another college for me and ahmedabad just another city. delhi was of gr8 importance. i still decided to go for mica. the next morning, i put on my best clothes, took out my bike and took off for the interview. but landed at my gal's doorstep. we had good time together. and know what? i got a call from lbsim.
also got calls from tapmi, ubs, nirma.

mica test 90 mins . 75 questions . paper is a bit lenghty so dont be complacent and try to finish in the stipulated time . i just about managed to finish it . was in the 10:15 gd/pi batch panel1. there were 2 panels at 10:15 and 2 panels at 1:45.

pi- mostly grilled on why mica , why a change in career etc. went off okish but the panel was so nice and friendly that everyone was saying that their interview was good , so dunno.
