PoH has given us friends, introspection and hope. Lets keep the spirit and step into another season.
In the interest of the public at large and to maintain the foot falls at the new season we have old guidelines.
1. ONLY one question a day. Mention Date and put the question.
2. All cheesy questions will find their way out.
3. Any noob who wishes to post/has posted shall be sent a PM re-iterating the rules.
4. A user shall not post questions twice a week. One per week is fine.
5. Anyone who wishes to share his/her happiness shall keep the topic as "My 2 cents".
6. All crappy questions shall be removed without intimating the user.
7. No personal attacks.
8. No ill treatment of the fairer gender.
9. No suggestive posts
10. No double meaning posts
11. No slang
12. No posts where you mention a person's name who is or is not on PG as he/she might not like it. In case you are sure they will not be bothered, feel free to use. Mods should not get complaints from the person mentioned in the post.
13. Regulars to the thread, please make this post "favorite" to keep for ready reference to give to noobs
14. Please quote the questions sensibly. If possible, copy the question only.
15. Let us try not to divulge dirty details of our life. Somethings are better left un-shared with the masses.
Let us try to make this season more discussion based
Love,
PP

Question for 24th April

Question of the day 27/04/2013
" What will you do if you've given an extra hour after completion of 3 hrs of exam...?" π΄
-@A
P.S. Consider the case that you're scholar enough and attempted all the questions.
Not question of the day, just question:
If you're feeling low, but don't want to, what do you do/remember to get cheered up? π
P.s: no mentions of drinking or other vices please

I cry, cry and cry and I give up only to realize that it was unnecessary.. Thinking some positives and mending my ways.. Then I listen to this song that brings a smile on my face.. π
Further, I remember some good memories that make me smile all over again !

Negative feelings & thoughts makes you feel low.
The reason for negative thoughts may be many, fight with friend/low in academics/career. There are many ways you can remove the negative thoughts, if its because of friend excuse the friend, excuse yourself & think positive π
Well coming to how I deal with this ? I just become careless I talk to friends, watch tv, spend time with mom, & roam around with friends. Well it works for me as it helps me to relax & think:enough:

Here my motivational answer to your question. The beauty of this song is that even the most depressed fellow on the earth can get motivated after listening it.

Question of the day
Question of the day28-04-2013
Given a choice between
a. Dream job at a place far from home but good living conditions and high income. (Assume family and friends can't move to this place)
b. Hated job in your home city such that you get time for family and friends.
Which would you choose and why ?
Very difficult question.. Wherein currrently I face the situation as in [a].. So what I would go for is shifting to another mutually-agreed place of abode [all - me and my family]. Just that I must make this feasible
Aaj ka sawal... Date : 29th April 2013
"How to improve your communication skill...?"Though you have a good base of vocab and knowledge but your communication skill can rip you apart. Is that true....?-@A
I would urge you to go through at least few pages of POH. It seems you don't know what is POH. This is not the kind of discussion we have here.. its about POH i.e. Pursuit of Happiness!
You may like to discuss this in VA thread or might change the question according to the POH if you wish to.
Thanks.

Professional and Personal life are not mutually exclusive. Both have its impact on us in various ways and they do impact each other a hell lot, at least for me. Hence the balance is important. More importantly to figure out what will matter more to you is a challenge.
If i were in the above situation i would look for a job in my own city with better opportunities and environment leaving my city is not on the cards. Maybe, i will have to move out some day... :-/
As per the norms & conditions I'm changing my question. 29-4-2013
Is it true in some case...?
Like you keep failing everywhere While all your friends succeeding all the time.

30.04.2013: What is your feel good hobby, that you currently pursue, or are thinking of pursuing, or have been procrastinating but want to pursue???
30.04.2013: What is your feel good hobby, that you currently pursue, or are thinking of pursuing, or have been procrastinating but want to pursue???A little background......Bad phase of my life, so to ride it through, i took up swimming! Its truly a liberating feeling, closest thing to flying like a bird!!! (parasailing, paragliding, sky diving,......please, thats not flying, thats falling, in style!!) I have been going regularly for a month now, and i enjoy each moment of it!! Plus, started noticing my arms and calves toning up, so wouldnt mind a little attention from the ladies!!
Right now down with with sinusitis, so swimming isnt really a feel good thing!! Itching to get back as soon as i recover!!
@Buck.up @deepu @cutie.pie @Preeti_L @miseera @cynara @saniyamakhijani @sabrinakhan , any inputs????
For me its dancing and i know i have been ignoring it too badly
I have stopped dancing from last few years now, for no particular reason. Now it maybe my self-limiting thoughts that i haven't been able to pursue it again. π
Thanks for asking this question. π I shall start it again. π

I know it's weird but yes "cooking" is what I want to add in my hobbies section in CV. Right now I cant pursue it because of tight daily schedule and all that but once I'll get settle I would love to cook some good cake at home...! π

for me it's travel and photography.
regarding photography i have ditched all my dslr gear and focussing on iphone photography. love the constraints posed by iphone. now i have to concentrate completely on the composition. such constraints bring out the best in you. some of my fav photographers now use iphone extensively for the same reason (constraints help you be more creative)
regarding travel i have been postponing it for a long time. but i took the plunge this year. travelled for a month in US before my thesis defense. now going to europe in june. we live in a beautiful world -- so much of travel left to do.
what i wish is for these 2 to continue for the next 10-20 years.

There are 2 sides to my story. One where I triumphed and where were I succumbed.
I am a trained Kathak Dancer but I have not stepped on the stage nor practiced it for the last 11 years π I have tonnes of regret in my heart about this.
However I have picked up baking and catering and I am loving it to the max.
