Hi All,

Please update the status of your waitlist in the Execel mentioned below.
This helps a lot and if some knows his/her friend's status then also mention that in the excel.

This will be of great help to those who are in the waiting list espeacially OC category there is only 30 candidates those have updated their status rest around 100 people status is still not captured.

You can find many more converts and waitlists in BIM 27 orkut community. Post this link there and ask them to update it to get a much better idea about waitlists.

Hi people,

Am in some soup here..can anyone shed some light on the possibility of a person converting at a WL/30 in the non Tamil, non reserved category???

Am really anxious as it might have tremendous financial implications for me.

Can anybody throw some light on this?!?!?

I wanted to know about the 1.) laptops - shld we bring them while joining or do students order in bulk or something after joining (Also what is the most preferred laptop there students @ BIM usually use) and 2.) What is the dress code? Is there any uniforms?

Regarding your queries:
1)Last year we tried for a bulk deal but the bulk deals are usually a misconception. You might end up getting a mouse or something extra that's it.
You will need a laptop anyways so if you are in metro cities then enquire and buy it(you will get a better deal there).
There is nothing called preferred laptops ( I use a Toshiba, my roomie uses a Sony Waio, many of my friends use dell, Hp etc). See your budget, requirements , performance of laptop and go for it.
P.S. : Never go for a exclusive dealer for his opinion , he will only praise his brand.

2)There is no dress code in BIM. BIM is one of the most lenient colleges in that sense.
Wear whatever you are comfy in but it should be decent. We have to wear formals during presentations and during placements. Thats it.

OC seats will be higher than other category seats. In my opinion seat split up shud be

OC - 40
BC - 36
MBC - 24
SC - 19
ST - 1

This is what i heard last yr though i'm not cent percent sure.

a guy called vinoth recently said that he is opting to go out as he as got through IIM-I.. i think he is MBC as i could find a guy wit the same name who has posted that he is waitin for call from IIM-I .. any idea guys??
