XAT is only for the Entrance test ...it includes no other college

For every individual Bschool you have to fill a different form ...be it xlri or ximb

Keep checking the newspapers regularly. Every institute will come out with a notification advertisement. And if you are a student of any coaching centre, just keep yourself up to date with the notifications they send to their students. They will ensure that you not miss any.
The PGP of IIMs includes HR also but in XL the HR equivalent is PMIR (you can see in the list while applying)

If you are applying as a fresher to XLRI then you have two options

BM - For Finance and Marketing
PMIR - For HR

Whether you are a fresher or not is irrelevant, because these are the only 2 yr full time MBA programmes offered. GMP is a 1 yr executive MBA programme, while FPM is a four year doctoral programme.

From this year onwards, PMIR has become HRM.

In BM you can select any specialisation you want except HR, which means Operations, System are also available options apart from Fin & Mar

Hey puys please.. during the registration they are asking for the associated institutes you are applying for, is there a limit. Can we apply to all? (does it mean we have to register separately and pay extra fees)

It doesn't matter whether you select any institute on your XAT form. The only way you can apply to any institute is by buying its form separately. Even if you select/not select an institute in your XAT form & not buy/buy its form, its perfectly ok

While filling up the xat form it asks to select at least one associate institute. when I select one(or multiple) then press next button it gives the following error::

Please select any one associate institute.

Please help:banghead:

Hi,

I am also getting the same error with IE6. But when I tried to use IE8 the page worked fine but on the final confirmation page I could not see the selected list of associate institute.

Kindly let me know if anybody faced the same problem or knows the solution

Thanks

Hi Puys,

Sorry for the silly question, but when I fill up my XAT registeration form on the last (final confirmation) page I am able to see all my personal information but I am not able to see the list of associates institute I select. Is every body facing the same problem i.e. the selected associate institutes not showing up? Is it ok to submit a form such as this?

I tried on IE6, IE8, Firefox 3.1 & Google Chrome but all show the same issue.

Please help.

I am also attaching a snapshot of the final submition page in my case. Please let me know if it is ok

Don't worry i too faced the same problem, either you select or not you can apply to the colleges which you desire individually using XAT registration number.

for xlri jamshedpur i guess we have to register first online and then take the pay in slip other than xat pay in slip and surface it at the axis bank branch if one want's to buy the form and prospectus personally by cash.then fill it and send it to xlri -jamshedpur.this is exclusively for xlri.if i am wrong correct me.

OKay here are my queries ..
I am looking to register for the 2 year MBA program at XLRI Jamshedpur. So which option do I Choose? (Business Management or General Management Programme???)
I am trying only for the 2 year MBA program, so I need not give a 2nd or 3rd preference right?

Thanks in advance 😃

XLRI course with eligibility:-

BM and PMIR- 2 years program- anybody can apply

GMP- 1 year program - min 5 year of work ex

Bth the courses are regular and full time

Hope thats sums it up
Though iam not great at verbal, i would like to to tell you how to prepare for XAT!!!
(1) Vocabulary, the most important of all, if your vocabulary is very good, then you're clearing the cutoffss of VA in XAT for sure!!!
(2) Speed for RC:- as we all know that that LRDI and QA sections in XAT are toughest in all MBA entrance exams, they take much more time for solving for the sake of clearing cutoff of each of them, so you have to be very fast and accurate in tackling the RCs!!!
(3) I personally found that if you could spot the easy questions in this section, it'll be helpful and i was quite lucky last year to find them!!!

All the best!!!
For any help. iam here only!!!

Thanks boss.
If there is any material which you could suggest it will be great.

Hey everyone. Please help ! I did not download the online pay receipt, which now I find out I need to send with the application. What do I do? Is it necessary to send it? Some places it is not mentioned, some places it is.

BM - 2 yr MBA program where you get to choose your specialisation in 2nd year. Options - All except HR

PMIR - 2 yr MBA program in HR, the best HR course in Asia

There's no system of preferences. If you want to apply for both, you just have to pay more money

I just sent my PA and PP forms for XLRI and XAT respectively. I had called up the helpline to ask them about 2 issues -

-In the final page where we print the form the list of instis we are applying to is blank, is that a problem? Got a reply that it does not matter, the data will be in their databases.

- I did not take the payment receipt print out and did not know how to do it since my history had been erased. - Got reply we do not need to send it as the PA and PP forms contain recept no and tran details.
