Thanks in advance.

No, you need not.
Hi Seniors
I am currently working in a PSU (BSNL). Can I take 2 years educational leave from service and join the course or is a resignation compulsory?
Could anyone confirm from the Placement Team whether a person on educational leave is allowed to sit for internship and final placements?
bro in sc category..ru sure it will be converted as it has got only 27seats..

ohhk..bro thanks man...and any idea till what time it will get converted?i mean will it take time to convert according to ur view?
Its compulsary mate and I could come up with two reasons for this
1. The 30000 has been kept to disuade people who are almost certain of withdrawing at a later stage , so that the waitlist movement is more brisk. Else had it been only 1000, invariably everyone would have ended up blocking the seats till almost mid april ( that's the time most of the other colleges come out with the results)
2. These guys are good at managementThey have devised a way to make money off even those candidates who will not be joining eventually. Otherwise UGC norm stipulates colleges from charging beyond 1000 bucks incase of a withdrawal.
Now reason inme se koi ho ya kuch aur bhi ho, baat saaf hai, if you want to play safe you will have to part with 30000
If UGC rules stipulate a return of full amount less 1k... What makes these universities cut 30 times more???
@shouryasen and other seniors around: What is the SIBM-P culture like. I have heard of term like the "XL culture" and all. What's life on the Lavale campus like? What activities and all do students do post classes? Is there a specific campus culture one can associate with SIBM-P?
Also, is the schedule very rigorous. SCMHRD says that they have classes for 16 hrs a day. If it is so, that doesn't give one time for oneself and I suppose a campus culture cannot exist then. What's the rigor in SIBM-P like?
Thanks for your help.. 😃
Hi friends here is SIBM Pune's Twitter page: https://twitter.com/#!/SIBMPune
This will give you a slight Idea about Student activities at SIBM Pune
Shourya,
I have two doubts:
1) I inquired with my previous college about the migration and transfer certificate, and they said that they are one and the same thing. Considering i passed out of my college 3 years back, is it rit for me?
2) Considering two options: HR course from a reputed B-school & MBA from SIBM-pune, and my interest towards only finance, can I count on getting finance in SIBM pune, and if not what is the probability of the same? Also , please tell us the exact criteria of choosing specialisation because as per the discussion we had with the seniors during GDPI process, they told us about the easy availabilty of getting the desired specialisation. Is it true?

1) Migration and Transfer ARE NOT THE SAME....
your college will issue you the migration and your university will do the same for transfer...
please press this issue on them as it is crucial for confirmation of admission here..
2) Since last year... the choosing of specialisation process has been opened up..
till 2010, we had to take tests in order to get our desired specialisation... but from last year... each and everybody has been getting his/her desired choice...
Cheers!!

My college doesn't come under any univertsity, it's directly under the ministry of Textiles -> National Institute of Fashion Technology. They only provide Migration certificate and there's no such thing as a transfer certificate.
I talked to one of the seniors at SIBM who's from NIFT as well, and I was told that the Migration certificate will do. I have already obtained the Migration certificate and the college doesn't issue any transfer certificate. Please clarify.
and one more thing, I am posting this again since I haven't received any reply for this. Can you please tell in detail, how to withdraw the admission from SIBM Pune, in case the need arises. How much time will the refund of money take? This will help others as well.
Thank you
